Warble Bird Songs

The Warble Bird Songs app builds ear-birding skills by developing your pattern recognition skills. It contains tutorials and includes a new and interactive approach to learning bird sounds.

It contains accessibility features that make it an effective tool for blind and low-vision users to learn and interpret bird sounds. Sighted users will find it useful without even realizing these underlying features.

This app is currently in development.

A phone displays the main page of the Warble app. A Song Sparrow is perched with its beak opened wide in song. Four purple buttons with the labels of Introduction, Browse Species, Glossary, and Identify Sound sit below the bird.

We are looking for beta testers!

We’d love to hear from you. Whether you’re a brand new birder or an old sage, we need your feedback to make Warble Bird Songs ready to launch. Our goal is to create a user-friendly app that teaches ear-birding skills for everyone, and we are building accessibility features to make Warble an effective tool for blind and low vision users to learn and interpret bird sounds.

Beta testing is easy. We will give you instructions on what we are looking for once you sign up, but it mostly involves exploring the app and filling out a Google form. You can spend as little or as much time on the app as you'd like, and the form only takes 10-20 minutes to fill out.
